We build good horse people, not just good riders.

I have been working with horses since 2003, coaching since 2011. I have completed Level 8 through Equestrian Canada's Learn to Ride Program. I have competed in dressage (Gold First and Second Levels), and hunter and jumper at the Silver levels. I love to bring my multi-discipline knowledge to all of my students to help them achieve any goals they may have.
I am an NCCP EC Certified Competition Coach in English Equestrian sports. I have been riding and training horses for more than 30 years, and have 20 years of coaching experience across many disciplines. Specializing in Dressage, I am trained to 4th Level with some experience lessoning on Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix horses under several notable FEI coaches.
I have been riding since 2011 and have been coaching since 2017. I have experience coaching both beginners and experienced riders alike. As a coach, my goal is to extend my knowledge to students of all ages so that they are able to achieve their riding goals!
I started at Maplewood as a youth, took a break from riding as I pursued competitive gymnastics, but returned to riding and Maplewood as a young teen. I have been working at Maplewood as a Lesson Prep Leader and in the barns for many years. I have taken on the role of Head Lesson Prep Leader, responsible for ensuring the training of the staff who look after the preparation phases of the lessons. I also enjoy sharing in the coaching of the Summer Camp programs, especially getting to know all of the new students who begin their equestrian adventures with a summer camp!
12 x 12 ft stalls with rubber mats mucked daily, grain fed 1 to 2 times daily, turn out/in daily in groups of 3 to 5 horses, reverse turnout in the heat of the summer, heated water troughs in winter, blanketing for weather, holding for in-house vet and farrier, access to the 10 acre pasture in the summer, access to all of our riding areas, and night check done daily (around 10 pm) to ensure safe, happy and healthy horses. Additional services may be available for a fee, upon request.
We take pride in sourcing and providing quality hay to all of our horses. Free choice hay while outside, and hay fed 1 to 2 times daily while turned in. We are pleased to be a Purina barn and are able to provide a nutrition program for any of your horse's needs. Our Basic Nutrition Package includes a Purina product for vitamins and minerals, flax, and salt. Additional Purina grains are available should your horse require additional calories.
We recommend joining our lesson program to help keep up and build the positive connection between you and your equine partner. This is not mandatory, but with 4 coaches on our team, we are sure to be able to assist you in progressing through any of your equine goals. Lessons to boarders are offered at a discounted rate.
